| The sun came up and the Sassy's soaked it up! |
 |
| Some of us loved it... |
 |
| ...more than others. |
 |
| And some of us just had to be full of it. |
 |
| The beautiful sunshine soaking into the hedge against the blue sky. |
The sun came out and I felt like Annie... I skipped, well okay half skipped - half hopped around on one leg and belted out "You can bet your bottom dollar that there IS SUN!" As I'm hobbling around in my pj's doing my best rendition to make Louanne Sirota proud, those little Sassy's were busting a gut watching the sight that I can imagine was most entertaining to some but to them I thought they would join in. I asked, "Why you leaving me in the
lurch to look goofy alone?" Kailee said, "Mom I don't know what you're singing!" This was an immediate wake up call; *bells & whistles went off in my head*
my kids have not been exposed to good, hearty, 1960-1970s film at its finest. My goal for the next movie night is to rent Annie -- the 1977 version of course (as any good mother would do.) However, I'm going to have to preview it so I can skip through the iffy parts... the parts that would make me think - yikes -NO WAY are they watching that! We'll see what movie night brings... I for see an Annie theme night in our near future... Optimism can make anything happen in life!
Other movies that I need to definitely find for future movie nights that will be a must:
The Sound of Music
Mary Poppins
My Fair Lady
Charlotte's Web
This made me laugh out loud because I pictured you hobbling around and singing! I sure miss you guys, its been way too long and June cannot get here soon enough!
