Family Talk Jar

Last night we officially started with the Family Talk Jar and so far so good! The girls love the conversation that is sparked and the stories they get to tell and elaborate upon. The "open ended questions" aspect of my early childhood degree is paying off and is quite usual during these discussions. Tonight's topics: what would you like to be remembered for? And what is the most adventurous thing you have ever done? K would like to remembered for the month she was born in. G would like everyone to know she is loved. Daddy would like people to know he was fireman and loved it. Mommy would to be remembered for advocating for children and being a mommy! The most adventurous thing Kk: Going mushroom picking in the deep woods with daddy and Grampa Lou. Gg: learning to read chapter books. Mommy: Going on the big roller coasters and having 2 babies! Daddy: Going to fire school and being a dad. I look forward to many more delightful conversations with my hoolies.
