Tonight daddy went to Parent/Teacher Conferences. It turns out you are both brilliant! Both of you had wonderful marks and are on target for where you need to be. (Well, Kailee is close in math just a little more practice will help.) Since mommy couldn't be there in person your teachers let me "conference" in with speaker phone. It worked out perfectly - while you slept in your rooms; I was able to participate in the conversation about said sleepy heads! It is heart warming to hear that you both "joys to have in class." You both are "always helpful, considerate and completely ideal students." You make us both proud! Daddy decided to spoil you and went and bought you each an eraser/sharpener combo and a bookmark. To say you were both excited isn't enough! Elated, over-joyed, beyond thrilled... amazing how such simple sweet little gifts can please you both. We are very blessed to have such darlings, who make us proud daily!
Mrs. McGeorge had a funny story about Jimmy & Grace... apparently Mrs. McGeorge thought that Grace was tying Jimmy's shoes everyday. When Mrs. McGeorge told Jimmy's parents they were surprised because Jimmy can tie his own shoes. So, when Jimmy came into school today he told Mrs. McGeorge that Grace doesn't tie his shoes, she just double knots them because he doesn't know how to do that. We didn't mention anything about it this morning to Grace; daddy subtly asked if G would come and tie his boots for him. She stopped in her tracks, put down her oj and got a funny look on her face (priceless in fact) and said, "Ooookay." While tying daddy's shoes daddy said, "I'm glad you said yes because I know you tie Jimmy's shoes." G smiled and said, I just double knot them for him dad. Oh my darling... oh.my.darling. Your big heart just makes me smile... and shake my head.
