The 2nd White Dress

Today Kailin JoyAnnalice: Kailin Faith which is your confirmation name... is wearing her second white dress... the second time she's worn a beautiful white dress in the church. She is making her First Communion. This means she receiving her first reception of the Holy Eucharist. She is also receiving her Confirmation which is the special outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Its effects are to: Root us more deeply in divine filiation (being children of God. Unites us more firmly to Christ. Increases the gifts of the Holy Spirit in u. Strengthens our bond with the Church.Associates us more closely to her mission of bearing witness to Christ. Helps us and more strictly obliges us to spread and defend the faith by word and deed. These effects seem very grown up to me... too grown up in fact. The next time she'll wear a special white dress in church will be at her wedding that thought just seems impossible to even think. She is growing up in more ways than I have ever imagined could be possible right now. This second beautiful white dress is so special. Seeing you wear it, makes tears well up inside of me. Happy tears of course... well both happy and sad tears. I often mourn your baby-hood and toddler youth... but I celebrate the young woman you are becoming. I love you Kailin JoyAnnalice.
