Week 33

September 2 was Cabbage Harvesting Day!

The Mega Cabbage! Weighed in at 30 Pounds! It was a good growing year with lots of TLC from Grampa Lou!

 

This has been an exciting week! Kailee & Grampa Lou submitted their cabbage to Bonnie's 3rd Grade Cabbage Challenge that they grew all summer long. God bless Grampa Lou for all his hard work. xo

Over the weekend we went to Traverse City and did some school clothes shopping with Gramma Deb & Abby do! We spent the entire day looking at clothes and just being silly! It was a hoot to watch you all on the Merry Go Round with Gramma! You both picked out dresses for your first day! Kailee a purple dress with black stars and Gracie a black dress with silver hearts. Absolutely perfectly the most adorable outfits ever.

It was mommy's first day of her NEW JOB on Tuesday, September 3rd... Mommy took a job at Central Elementary working with 2 autistic boys. It wasn't really a school day but more of a "welcome to school day - here's what you're doing this year" day. I met my co-workers, learned my expectations and really tried hard to soak in all the knowledge I could.

I came home from work by 3:15'ish and then at 4:30 we went to Ottawa for YOUR "Ice Cream Social" where you both got to meet your teachers - my big second grader Grace has Mrs. Whitfield - Woot woot! And our fabulous forth grader Kailee has Mrs. Ance - Amen! It's going to be a great year - I can feel it!!

We came home from the icecream social and got our "First day outfits" ready to go for the morning! The first day is so nerve wracking but also exciting! So many firsts!

Your first days of school were really fabulous! You both came home so happy and excited to tell me about what you learned that day and who was in your class (Gg has Alynna, Lia & Grace E. and Kk has Ashlynn, Zia & Sophia)!
