Easter morning began about 5:30 a.m. Mommy woke up first because I HAD to see if the hippity hop came. I made coffee (in the dark) , took my medicine (quietly) and then waited patiently to see how long before my little Easter bunnies would wake up! It didn't take you long; by 5:50 I had you both bouncing out of the bedroom! Daddy crawled out of bed and very groggy (he had a fire call in the middle of the night) he video taped you looking through your baskets that the Edgar E. Bunny filled! You ransacked the baskets and found those eggies in no time flat! It's so much fun to watch your faces as you look through your things and finding those eggs! There were 94 eggs in all! That's A LOT of eggs for 2 lil hoolies to find!
After finding the bazillion eggs... opening them up and enjoying some Eastery fantastic candy. As per Holiday tradition; you ate all the candy you wanted, ALL day! OH MY MY. Shortly after chocolate kisses, sleep smiles and bellies full of cinnamon rolls we started getting dressed into our Easter best! You both looked SO sweet in your sparkly butterfly dresses. I love any reason to get you dressed up and do your hair!
We went to church at St. Francis for Easter celebration of Jesus has Risen at 8 a.m. It was a beautiful mass, the church was FULL! You both were VERY well behaved and I am so impressed with your knowledge of and thoughts about the Priest's Homily. Kailee caught that the Priest addressed that even the Priests are sinners. That sparked some wild conversation...that can be summed up with; we are all human and while Priests are supposed to act on the behalf of God; they are not God and the are human. Humans make mistakes. One day we can discuss that further but for now; I think that's enough for your little beings to think about.
After celebrating the Rising of Christ we made our way over to see Gramma Deb, Grampa Lou, Abby, Jordy, Auntie Angela, & Uncle Josh!! We even ended up seeing Uncle Lou and Mona on Wii U chat too! We ate a delicious Easter lunch! You found all the eggs the bunny hid at Gramma & Grampas AND you opened your Easter baskets they so nicely made especially for the each of you. (Pictures to come in a different Easter post)
After lots of visiting we finished out our day at Grandma Sandee & Grandpa Bob's! Aunt Stacey, Aunt Gina, Soon-to-be Uncle Ben and Makenna were there. (Auntie Faith was vacationing with her friend in a different state.) We went and had a bit of dinner, then you had some Bunny Cake that Auntie Stacey made! You played with the bunny ball poppers that were in your baskets and then you were ready to come home and get your cozies on.
